Campo De' Fiori

The walk starts in Campo de' Fiori, a medieval square in the historic centre, at one of the best known produce markets in Rome, with local growers, flowers and delicacies. The tasting here takes in balsamic vinegar, truffle, olive oils and limoncello. After the market comes a platter of salumi, cheese and prosciutto from Norcia, from a family shop trading since 1890.

Piazza Navona

After the crisp pizza from a bakery working since 1824, and lunch among the ruins of the oldest theatre in Rome near Campo de' Fiori, the walk goes on to Piazza Navona for dessert. Tiramisù, which is the Roman dessert of choice, while the guide covers the history of the square and its three Baroque fountains.

Basilica di Sant'Eustachio
