Fettuccine Class on Piazza Navona, at Ristorante Tucci
Ratings collected by Viator and Tripadvisor
RomeA pasta class held on Piazza Navona itself rather than in a kitchen somewhere off it, which is the whole argument for this one. The workshop runs at Ristorante Tucci, whose windows look onto the square, the Renaissance fountains and the church front behind them. As far as the operator is aware it is the only cooking class actually on Piazza Navona, and the setting is doing real work here: you roll pasta with the square in front of you. What you make is fettuccine, the Roman cut, worked by hand from start to finish. The point of the class is that the technique travels: flour, eggs, a rolling pin and a knife are available anywhere, so this is a skill you take home rather than a meal you eat once. Afterwards you sit down and eat what you made, with the sauce of your choice, and drinks and appetisers are included. The meeting point is inside the restaurant. Arrive ten minutes early and ask the staff to take you through.
