Private Rome Walk with Sant'Ignazio and the City of Water

A private walk for up to six people, through the centre and then under it. It starts in Piazza Navona with Bernini's Fountain of the Four Rivers, goes into the Pantheon, and stops for artisan gelato at a place the guide has chosen rather than the nearest one. Then Sant'Ignazio, where the ceiling is painted to open into a sky that is not there and the dome is a flat canvas. After that the route goes below street level to Vicus Caprarius, the City of Water: a Roman residential block under the Trevi district, with the aqueduct channel still running through it. Very few tours go down there, and it changes how the fountain above reads. Back up for the Trevi Fountain itself and the coin, and the walk ends at the Spanish Steps.
