Rome Walking Tour with Pantheon, Trevi Fountain & Spanish Steps

One booking with three versions, and the differences matter enough to read before choosing. The shortest is a Pantheon entry ticket with no guide: you meet by the Pantheon Fountain in Piazza della Rotonda, go in, and that is the whole of it. The middle option adds a guide inside the building for the dome, the oculus and the engineering behind a roof that has held for nearly two thousand years. The full walk carries on from there through the historic centre. The long version starts at Piazza Navona with Bernini's Four Rivers Fountain, goes into the Pantheon, then Piazza Colonna, where the Column of Marcus Aurelius stands a few steps from the Italian parliament, and on to the Trevi Fountain. A gelato is included on the way, and the shop can change. One thing to be clear about at the Trevi Fountain: the walk reaches the fountain, but going down to the water to throw the coin needs a separate ticket, which this booking does not include. The tour ends at the Spanish Steps. Guided service applies only to the guided options. The meeting point depends on which one you choose.

Rome

Piazza della Rotonda, 00186 Roma RM, Italy

ONLY IF THE 'Pantheon Entry (No Guide)' OPTION IS SELECTED: meet at Piazza della Rotonda, 00186 Rome, next to the Pantheon Fountain.

  1. Piazza Navona

The walk opens in one of the liveliest squares in Rome, with Bernini's Fountain of the Four Rivers, the Baroque fronts around it and whoever is performing that day.

  2. Pantheon

Inside one of the best preserved monuments of ancient Rome: the dome and the oculus, which have stood for nearly two thousand years. If you booked a Pantheon-only option, the tour ends here and the rest of the day is yours. A guide is included in the guided options only.

  3. Column of Marcus Aurelius

On to Piazza Colonna, where the column of Marcus Aurelius carries the record of his campaigns, with the Italian parliament a few steps away. Ancient and current power on the same square.

  4. Trevi Fountain

The Trevi Fountain, with the history and the symbolism explained, time for photographs and free time nearby. Going down to the water to throw a coin requires a separate ticket, not included in this tour.

    Costo extra

  5. A sweet break awaits you as well

A gelato is included in the price, taken as a pause rather than a mission. The shop can change.

  6. Piazza Di Spagna

Time in the square and in the streets around it, which are worth the wandering.

  7. Spanish Steps

The walk finishes at the Spanish Steps, which have been the social centre of this quarter for three hundred years.

  8. Piazza di Spagna, Roma

The tour ends at Piazza di Spagna.
