From the Bars to the Bridge: A Ghost Walk in One Direction

Look at the order of the stops and the route turns out to be a departure. It starts in Campo de' Fiori, which at nine in the evening is as busy and cheerful as Rome gets: full tables, waiters shouting, the market gone and the bars up. From there each stop is quieter and less pleasant than the one before. A square with a legend about a hidden passage. Corner Madonnas that were installed to make robbery harder. A bridge with an unexplained body count. A fountain with a warning on it. A church whose decoration is made of human bone. An apartment block on the site of a prison. A shop that sold poison as face powder. The house of the executioner. It ends on the bridge where the bodies of the executed were left out as an instruction to everyone else, with the Cenci story. By that point you are a fifteen-minute walk and about four hundred years from where you started. The Ghost Hunter Kit is included, and there are visual recreations at the stops.
