Night Photo Tour with a Vehicle, Built Around the Blue Hour
The blue hour lasts about twenty minutes, and in that window the sky holds enough colour to balance the artificial light on the monuments. Before it the sky is blown out; after it the sky is black and the buildings float. Every serious night photographer in Rome is working inside those twenty minutes. That is why this tour includes a private vehicle. On foot you get one location per blue hour. With a car you can shoot Castel Sant'Angelo, the bridge and the reflections in the river at the right moment and still be somewhere else before the light has finished changing. Marco Bulgarelli leads it, an award-winning photographer who works in night photography and urban landscape. The route takes in the Colosseum from two angles, one obvious and one not, St Peter's, the Roman Forum, the Palatine, the Vittoriano, the Capitoline and Trajan's Market, all from positions he has chosen rather than the ones on the postcards. Trastevere, the Pantheon, the Spanish Steps, Trevi and Piazza Navona can be added on request. Suitable for beginners as well as experienced photographers. A partner or friend without a camera comes free. The vehicle takes you back to your hotel at the end.
