Electric Tuk by Night, Fifteen Stops and Very Little Walking
Two things make this different from the other night tours: the vehicle is electric, and the walking is minimal. The electric motor matters more at night than during the day. There is no engine noise, so the guide can talk at conversational volume while moving, and in the empty streets after eleven you hear the fountains instead of the drivetrain. The minimal walking is the practical point. Rome after dark is cobbles, kerbs and hills, and a night tour on foot is several kilometres. This one covers fifteen locations across the whole centre and both banks of the river with short walks at the stops, which makes it workable for people who cannot manage a long evening on their feet. The route runs from Piazza di Spagna and the Trevi Fountain up to the Pincio, through Piazza del Popolo and Castel Sant'Angelo to St Peter's, up to the Acqua Paola fountain on the Janiculum, the one in the opening shot of The Great Beauty, then across to the Aventine keyhole, the Campidoglio, Piazza Navona and the Colosseum at the end, lit and without the crowd. The meeting point is Piazza del Popolo 11, in front of the Leonardo da Vinci Museum. There is no sign: the driver arrives with the vehicle.

Piazza del Popolo, 11, Roma
The meeting point is Piazza del Popolo 11, in front of the Leonardo da Vinci Museum. Please wait outside the entrance and do not go in. There is no sign: the driver will arrive with the vehicle and is easy to spot. Please allow up to 10 minutes.
Castel Sant'Angelo
Castel Sant'Angelo, built as Hadrian's mausoleum and later a papal residence, with its round mass over the Tiber and the Passetto running from it to the Vatican.
Vatican City
St Peter's Square, closed in by Bernini's colonnade, with the basilica at the end of it and Michelangelo's dome above.
Fontana dell'Acqua Paola
The Acqua Paola fountain on the Janiculum, one of the best viewpoints in the city and the location of the opening scene of The Great Beauty. The whole of Rome sits below it.
