Pantheon Entry Ticket Sent the Day Before, Not the Booking Voucher
One instruction on this booking matters more than the rest. The official entry ticket arrives separately, by Viator chat, email or WhatsApp, no later than the day before your visit. The Viator voucher with the logo on it is not the ticket and will not get you through the door. Look for that second message before you set out. With it in hand, entry is booked and the queue at the ticket window is not your problem. Inside you can take a guided walk or run the audio guide, whichever suits, and either way the history is the same: a temple to all the gods that became a Christian church, which is the reason it is still here. Not everything survived intact. In 663 the emperor Constans II stripped the gilded bronze tiles off the roof and shipped them out. They got as far as Syracuse, where Saracen raiders took them, and ended up in Alexandria. The building carried on without them. One term to note before booking: this sale is final and no cancellation is refunded.

- Dress Code Notice: Please note that the Pantheon is an active Catholic church (Basilica of St. Mary and the Martyrs). Modest clothing is recommended: shoulders and knees should be covered. While dress code checks are less strict than at St. Peter’s Basilica, entry may be refused during religious services or special events if attire is deemed inappropriate.
